1. Date and Venue:
The event is scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM, and will be held at the National Taiwan Science Education Center (full-day event).
2. Event Highlights:
This year's National Wetlands Day event will feature a Diversity Partner Declaration Ceremony, Wetland Recognition and Certification Ceremony, Appreciation Ceremony for Wetland Management Partners, wetland environmental education experience booths, a wetland-themed quiz with prizes, and other interactive activities. Additionally, the event will include the Wetland Photography Contest Award Ceremony and an exhibition of the winning photographs.
3. Wetland Recognition and Certification Ceremony:
This year, five certifications for the "2025 Wetland Labeling Program" will be awarded. Also, the evaluation results for "National and International Important Wetland Management Assessments" from 2023 and 2024 will be announced (see event proposal for details), in recognition of contributions to wetland conservation and restoration in Taiwan.
4. Diversity Partner Declaration Ceremony:
Representatives from co-organizing government agencies, civil organizations, and the private sector will be invited to participate in the declaration ceremony.
5. Appreciation Ceremony for Wetland Management Partners:
To mark the 10th anniversary of National Wetlands Day, a special appreciation ceremony will be held to thank wetland management partners. Government agencies entrusted by the National Park Service to manage wetlands will be invited on stage to receive certificates of appreciation.
