【External Announcements】Briefing on the Proposed Protected Status for the Tri-spine Horseshoe Crab and the Marine Conservation Act by the Marine Conservation Administration, Ocean Affairs Council

The Ocean Affairs Council issued a public notice on April 24, 2026, regarding amendments to the “Protected Marine Wildlife Species List.” To explain the requirements under the Wildlife Conservation Act, the current regulatory measures for the tri-spine horseshoe crab, and comparisons with the Marine Conservation Act, as well as to collect opinions from various sectors, the briefing sessions mentioned above will be held as follows:

    (1) Date and Time: 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2026
    Venue: Main Auditorium, Penghu Fishermen's Association

    (2) Date and Time: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 26, 2026
    Venue: Conference Room, Kinmen Fishermen's Association

    (3) Date and Time: 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2026
    Venue: 3F Conference Room, Chiayi Fishermen's Association

    (4) Date and Time: 2:30 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2026
    Venue: Xiangshan Citizens Activity Center, Xiangshan District, Hsinchu City
